Current Events Week 2 Goverment/Politics

http://ethicist.blogs.nytimes.com/2009/11/03/must-you-vote/

This article takes a very different approach to voting, and our right to vote. What do you think about it? Should Americans vote if they are not properly educated on specific issues? What are some of the consequences of voting without much knowledge? Are there any benifets? Lastly he says that things like MTV's Rock the Vote are idiotic....do you agree? Why or why not?

  1. i personally think that americans should atleast know something about what they are voting for and arent just voting because someone told them to or they just felt like it. A consequence of voting without any knowledge of what you are voting for is voting for someone that is a bad canidate or doesnt know what they are doing.i dont think there are any benefits of voting without knowledge because you dont know what your going to get.i do not agree that mtv rock the vote is idiotic because they are targeting the younger voters and can educate them better on what they are voting for.
