McGwire Admits to Steroid Use
This week Mark McGwire was the latest former major league star to admit to using steroids during his time in the Majors.
Read this article, in which former major leaguer Doug Glanville tells what it was like to play against Mark McGwire, and what he thinks about his admission of steroid use.
Does this admission change your opinion of McGwire? Have all the admissions of steroid use in baseball changed your opinion of the sport? Does McGwire (or any other admitted steroid user) deserve a place in the baseball Hall of Fame or should they be banned? Share your opinion in the comment section.

This "CONFESSION" makes me think of mark mcGwire in a bad way. Any person that has to cheat to make themselves good at a sport doesnt deserve to play. He definately should be banned from the hall of fame because it takes the spotlight off of the players who actually worked hard to get where they are.
ReplyDeleteWhen i found out about Mark McGwire using steroids it defently changed my opinion aobut him. I dont think that he should be in the baseball hall of fame at all! That is cheating and that does not deserve anything but getting fired.
ReplyDeleteThis does change my opinion becuase he didnt really work as hard to become good as he let people believe. Mark McGwire cheated his way above other players and in my eyes that is wrong. My opinion about baseball hasnt changed because of steroids but my view of the players that use them has changed. By using steroids it causes an unfair advantage for that team and that is not the correct way to become good at the sport. I believe that Mr. McGwire does not deserve a spot im the hall of fame because it wasnt actualy his hard worked that made him as good as he was. He had to use steroids to become such a good player and that is not something that athelets should be doing.
ReplyDeleteI now dislike McGwire because of his steriod use if it is true. He does not deserve a place in the baseball hall of fame because he was using steriods. The hall of fame for any sport shows the athlete's ability by their own physical talent. Using steriods improves their talent increasing it from their natural talent. I feel that when someone gets proven guilty of taking some kind of steriod improving his ability past his true talent, proving him not legible for being in the hall of fame.
ReplyDeletei think in my mind he does not change as a baseball player he still got there without steriods hes a goiod player and alot of player have got caught for them and till are using them now i think he still should get be in the hall of fame
ReplyDeleteYes I believe that the admission had changed my opinion about Mark McGwire because he should of been fired if the league had known about his steroid use. No because they just wanted a way to hit automatic homeruns. I believe that the steroid users should be banned from the hall of fame for as long as they live.
ReplyDeleteNo it does not change my opinon on athletes taking steriods and other drugs to make them appear bigger. because, all in all most people probably do take drugs to make them look more attractive in some means and make them a better athletes.
ReplyDeletei think the use of steroids is pointless and is harmful to the body. i wish athletes would just stop using enhancers and play the game fair.
ReplyDeleteI personally think that anyone who gets caught with steriods or "performance enhancers" should be kicked from the hall of fame. I mean its really pathetic because your paid to play the game, not to cheat out people who actually work hard for it.
