Did it help you to better understand gerrymandering and redistricting? Do you think I should continue to use it in Civics next year? Why or why not?
This did help me understand gerrymandering. I didn't realize how unfair it was. Till I had the chance to design the borders myself. I do think that you should use it in the years to come. It made things easier to realize and understand.
ReplyDeleteThe game did help me understand gerrrymanderng a little better but i did not like it at all. it was so hard i threw up and once you messed up it was nearly impossible to fix. The only mission i got done easy was the first one.
ReplyDeleteOkay so this Gerrymandering game was point-less to me. I did not understand one this about the game. And when I tried to make the right move on the game, it told me that my population was to high or to low on the game... Maybe if i took some time and actually sat down and done it carefully I could've got the hang of the game. yes I do think you should keep doing this game for your classes farther on down the road because it will make people learn how the population works in your state, and other states.

although i had a better understanding afterwards i wish i could have learned the infroation another way.
i do not recmommend this game for anyone else.
i personally didnt like this game. it really made me mad.i could never seem to make the people happy. it was also kinda boring. i wouldnt use this next year but that is not my choice alot of kids think that the game is boring but it is not up to me to choose
