What are your opinions on the political cartoon? What is the cartoonist saying about the dangers of war? With the Fort Hood shootings should people rush out and join the army like they did after 9/11, or should it steer some people away from joining? If you had the choice to enlist today, what would you do and why?

I think political cartoons are sometimes taking to an advanatge, because somepeople that were inlisted in the war and actaully served our country. Might take the drawing or writitng to a point that they go out of control. But, there is a reason to every wirtting and drawing because everyone as an opinion about everything, and why not write or draw about it.
ReplyDeleteme personal would not join the army because, for one I probably would not servive, and two i think that only people that are committed to doing good to our country should join. But, I do thank all the people that are fighting for our rights and counrty. that is risking their lives to save others.
My opinion on this cartoon is that the fort hood massacre shouldn't have never happened. This cartoon shouldn't have never been made. The cartoonist is trying to say that war is very dangerous and that many people are going to end up dead. i think people should just to try and stop terrioust from attacking. If i had a chance to enlist i would because i know that the army is helping the country.
ReplyDeleteI believe that this political cartoon is a good representation of todays current events. It is trying to talk about the dangers of war and it shows how that even though we think of place like Iraq as being danerous, our homes can be just sacry. The author of the cartoon is trying to show that we still need to have security cautions within our own home instead of just on the front lines.
ReplyDeleteI believe that after th Fort Hood shooting more people should be inspired to join the army. This is because moredpeople should want to help us be sucure not only from extreamists over in Iraq but on our home ground as well. Some people may see this event as something that may want to steer people away because of the danger. On the other hand it should intice people to join to help keep us safe. If i had the choice today i would not join but i do have a good reason. I plan on going to college after high school and i dont want to risk being called in for a tour of duty.
