Why is it important to remember those in the “forgotten war”? Do you know anyone who has served in this war? Why is it important to recognize them now, when it occurred so long ago? Is it important to honor veterans of major wars or conflicts, or anyone who has served this country? If you served our country would you want a ceremony thanking you, or is the pride you feel from serving good enough?

the forgotten war is also known as the korean war. its important to remember this cause it was also a war. and people lost lifes and were never found.
ReplyDeletei do know someone who served in the war. my boyfriends grandfather.
its important to reconize them because they fought for something. just like every other person does in a war.
i would want both. i know when i went to the ceremony in the jaffa. his grandfather was so happy. that someone notices him for what he did.
yea both of my paps were in the war and my uncle and some of my cousins are in right not so i think its good to give thanks to them on veterians day and help them out as much as anyone can
ReplyDeleteI think every military service should be in memory of everyone. Without them we would have anything we do today. They provide us with our freedom and the ability to do what we want. People give our lives for us and nobody does anything to appreciate them. My pap served in the war and every veterans day we take flowers up to his cemetary and remember him.
ReplyDeleteI personally think this isn't stupid. Kids shouldn't be arrested for a food fight. Detention maybe. Cleaning up the cafe defiantly. But 8 hours in jail and going in front of a judge. That isn't necessary. They even treated the kids like real criminals. Its not like the kids killed anyone jeezus they are 11-15 years old they are immature. Anymore teachers are on a power trip.
ReplyDeleteI thiink it is very important to rememeber those before us, that fought for our country. because some people don't even take the time to thank those who were over sea's and who risk their own lives. yes I do know people that were in the was both of the granfathers both served in the war. And, i do give all my heart out to those I do and don't know that gave lives to fight the battle. During vetrains day, i do remember those who fought for us. Even though most of us don't respect them. I do really think that we should starting to repsect them becacuse one of these days the country will bw fouhgt by those amoung us. not those who are heartless. to remember those who fouhgt before us and with us.
ReplyDeleteThis guy should just be happy he got an award even if it was years after his service.
