The video discussed many ways in which the internet has changed personal relationships.
There was Bubbe, the 83 year old Jewish Grandma with the online cooking show, and the online gaming friendships and romances that have been created by World of Warcraft. The video also discussed how the internet and use of digital media has changed even the family structure in many homes.
Personally I think that technology is changing friendship, parenting, and love. I know that for me it does anyway. I met some of my friends online and technology helps me stay in touch with my friends at all times.
ReplyDeleteI feel that today many people use technology to meet new people, and keep in touch with old friends. Some people use technology in ways such as iming to keep in touch with their friends. Some parents that feel thier children cant be trusted, create myspace and other web accounts just to check up on their kids to try and keep in control.
ReplyDeletei think that technology is shaping our friendships,paretning and love. for example its easier for me to text my friends and ask for advice or tell them a story quickly through a text..it also makes out bond stronger because we can share more information..i think that parenting skills have also changed and relationships with their children, i know of many kids including myself who texts their parents frequently and its become a part of their life. my mom and i text a lot and i think its the asiest way to keep in touch, just like our friends we can inforn them on problems and stuff going on at that moment. i do not htink it is right to find love over the internet though. i think people rely on dating websites too much, i dont think they should exist.

ReplyDeleteI agree with jack banks because it is changing the way kids are treating their family and plus it changes the way are life is. Also we are missing out on are family and how are parents are greatly affected.
