  1. technology has greatly improved our military just becasue we can can ge in iraq while were sitting on our buts in America. so really we can be here and getting work done there without risking american life

  2. Technology is helping every kid train in the feeling it would be to holding the gun, and actually having the ability to fire at someone. No little kid knows what its like to hold a gun and fire, till he eventually kills someone.

  3. i think that having a simulation of the military for kids to tyr out is a good idea although its nothing like the real thing its still a good experience i think. and i think that it isnt harmful to kids at all because for one its the kids choice to be there also they know real from fake.

  4. i think that thats a great thing to help them go into the real world and its good for kids and seeing if they want to and if they like to go to war or not

  5. first off, the military is using droids flown by fighter pilots 7,000 miles away. that sounds like a pretty good improvement to me. Soldiers are also being treated for PTSD through technology, which is a very good use.

i think technology is drastically helping the army.

  6. On the subject of using UAV's for warfare, I don't 100% believe that its the right derection to go in for future warfare. I believe it takes away the true aspect of war. It takes away the danger, and the reality of what killing really is.

  7. This new technology has been helping our military greatly. It has given us the ability to make our combat animated. We can now fly unmanned drones into battle which is helping cut the number of american casualities. Not to mention all the new technology that we are gaining is giving us the advantage in combat. This advantage is helping us greatly in the wars. We have the ability to do so much more than our enemies and that is deffinatly heping our country.

  8. I don't think this simulation is harmful to kids, because its not like the real experience at all. And, also I think its good idea for kids because, it makes them learn what the people actually go through.

  9. Technology has helped the military by them being able to respond and call the fighter jets. The technology is a challenge for the military because they could have a chance of messing up.

  10. Technology has improved our militry in many ways. it teaches them scenarios that hey might experience without the actual dangers. it also helps them execute operations from long distances away.

  11. technology has made war a lot safer. now we can attack iraq and afghanistan while sitting in the comfort of our air conditioned buildings. it doesnt quite feel right to let some soilders go over to iraq and risk theyre lives but then have the soilders over here flying planes and have them never really take a risk oh wellz

  13. i agree with casey frye's post. there is no simulation that can actually have you feel exactly as you would if you actually killed someone.

  14. I disagree with Kelsi's post. With technology supposedly making warfare safer, its also angering the other countries that are mad at us. They could want to get return and create many things just like bombs. Maybe someday they will create computer flown planes, and have many american casulties just as we are doing them to us. So in all, it doesn't completely make war safer.

  15. In response to Casey Frye's post. I agree on where you are coming from; where it does help every kid know how to have the abilty to hold and fire a gun. Aslo, no little kid does know what it feels to hold a gun, or even fire it for that matter.

  16. I agree with Harker I also dont think that simulation is harmful to kids its just a game, and most children that are playing these games are older than 3 or 4 like in the study where they see a vidio and think it happened, they arnt going to think killing people is actuly cool?

  17. In response to kelsi's, casey's, Joeys's, and John's post. I agree with both opinions on this subjct. For one, yes the technology that enables us to attack, observe, and kill enemys from millions of miles away is greatly helping our military defeat enemys and secure objectives. But I also believe that in the near future this technology will be avalible to other countrys. Countrys who are no longer our allies, or who at at war with us. This means, they could easly go to work in the morrning (say in Russia) fly a UAV and kill your family (in America) in the time of an hour. So I believe that in a sense the Technological advancements of UAV's and UGV's has in fact increased the lethality of warfare. Also I believe it is somewhat immoral.

  18. How have video games such as Call of Duty helped our military forces? First, these games that the young new soldiers play show what they can do to help the effort in the war against Afghanistan. Next, It attracts us and shows us what war is like even though it is all fictional. Finally, It shows we have all the new recruits around the USA that would be a perfect member of our US army.
